Opening for graduate student entering Summer/Fall 2020
Our lab is looking for a graduate student who is interested in working on methane clumped isotopolgoue fractionation by methanogenic microbes using our bioelectrochemical system. The prjoect will follow up our previous research of this topic (e.g., Wang et al., 2015, Gruen et al., 2018) but the use of electrochemical technique would allow us to precisely control the growth rate and available energy by applied overpotentials. The project is recently funded by NSF and ideal for someone with strong background in chemistry and interest in microbiology. Deadline for our graduate school is January 5th 2020. Contact PI for detail or apply here.
